I found this one difficult to summarize in the title above.

I used panels2 to create a page with 2 blocks representing 2 different newsletters (one on the left, one on the right). If I subscribe to the one on the left, it works. If I subscribe to the one on the right, it still subscribes (or unsubscribes) me from the left one. If I swap the 2 blocks around, I get the same behaviour: left one gets all the subscribes/unsubscribes.

Looking at the HTML which creates the forms, I can see they're both being posted to the same URL with the same parameters and the same FormsAPI hidden magic number.

It could be this is a panels2 issue, in which case it might help to know mine is 5.x-2.0-beta5.

This is a know issue in 5.x that multiple subscription blocks on one page do not work together. It will not be fixed in this version but is fixed in 6.x.
A workaround for you might be to apply the form used on newsletter/subscriptions.
