IMCE gives user #1:
- ability to switch to any user's settings
- administration of user files in user/x/imce pages
I would also like to assign those privileges to a particular role.
This is very important to me: my drupal site has lots of contributors, and four editors (user role: 'editors'); editors check that everything's fine with the published content. They also need to fix images within posts, that means for example, deleting wrong/bad images uploaded by users and replacing them with the right ones.
The problem is that only user #1 has the privilege to see other user's imce pages and files, so editors can workaround this by uploading images to their own IMCE folder and embedding them inside other user's posts. The wrong images remain inside the original poster's imce folder.
Is there a way to fix or workaround this, or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any support you will offer!

ufku commenteddid you try giving administer imce permission to those users?

gabble commentedYes: with administer permissions users are able to change IMCE settings (that's not what I want), but still can't see user's files!
It seems that browsing user's files is a user #1 prerogative by design… bad!
I hope to be wrong, anyway! :-)
