The documentation suggests that a patch for CCK in included with dbscripts to allow modifying existing fields but I haven't seen this patch anywhere.

Sorry about that guys. I'm having a problem adjusting to using CVS well. I think I committed a bunch of stuff to HEAD and not the DRUPAL-5 branch. Hopefully I'll start getting it right.

The newest rebuild of the package should include the content_copy.patch. I have also updated it to allow automatically deleting fields that are not in the import, so be careful.
