problem with image path

After uploading an image with imce, I'm unable to see its preview in imce interface, nor the image in the pages where I place images. After checking, there is a / appended to the path . for exemple, instead of having something like :
, I get something like . note the // in the path, plus "http"....
There is a problem. Any ideas ? Thanks
