Hey there-
I just updated to the newer May 2008 version (from on back in Jan) and it killed my slideshow. I had 6 images slide-showing from a custom image field. I checked all my setting and it doesn't seem like anythings changed but now my slideshow only shows the first image. The other images are still there (when I inspect the code in Firebug) but for some reason they don't fade up...
Any idea what could've happened?

tflmike commentedHas this happened to anyone else? The Slideshow only shows the first image and fades to nothing. No other images in the slideshow show up! My slideshow worked perfectly before I upgraded to this new dev version, so I know it's not my set up... it's the code, it doesn't seem to work anymore!

Delta Bridges commentedI can confirm this... and funnily, this is only true for images. My other slideshow (for links) is working fine...

Delta Bridges commentedRectification: even my link slideshows have stopped working. I am tyempted to go back to the January development but:
- cannot find th tar ball...
- is it safe?
- any other advice?
Many thanks,

tflmike commentedYeah... I would just go back and re-install the older dev version of Views Slideshow (the one that worked for you). If you didn't back up your module before updating, just go to the CVS repository by clicking here (http://cvs.drupal.org/viewvc.py/drupal/contributions/modules/views_slide...). Then you have to rebuild your views_slideshow.module file... just click on the view_slideshow.module and then find the version that worked for you (jan dev version). Then just copy and paste the code into your view_slideshow.module and re-install. Everything should work fine....
That's the problem with working off of dev versions, when they change you have no idea if they're going to keep working for you! ;-) It's just better to stick with the one that works for you until an update comes by that you absolutely need! But make sure you still post you issue so the people who are maintaining the module can look into the problem...
Hope that helps!
