I get this error after uploading the image. I can't see the uploaded image directly too.

I don't have time to investigate this at the moment, but it sounds like something is out of sync. Make sure you've got FileField beta2 running for FileField Image beta1, and try to disable and then re-enable any module in order to regenerate the menu cache and whatnot. If you did all that and it still doesn't work, please drop one more note here.
