FileField Image

Note: This module will be merged back into ImageField and replaced by it. As dopry takes FileField into a different direction with the 6.x-3.x releases, and I (jpetso) am unavailable for maintenance from now on, FileField Image is expected to die rather sooner than later, despite being a nice stop-gap measure until dopry's plan for Drupal 6 FileField and ImageField is realized. With a little luck, ImageField will provide similar functionality to display FileField files as this module does, so migrating to ImageField will probably be seamless for the file data. Expect to reconfigure widget and formatter settings, though.

So, this is a module that provides an image support extension for the Drupal 6 version of the CCK FileField, version 6.x-1.0-beta3 (and not later than that one). Mix & match of regular files and images, seamless ImageCache integration. In the FileField handbook, you can find a short step-by-step guide on how to set up a simple field for images.

Note: There won't be a Drupal 5 version of this module, as it's completely based on the large changes that come with the 1.x branch of FileField for Drupal 6. 3.x is different again and won't be supported either, see the explanation at the top of the page.
