Description
We have several sites which requires autoresponder functionality so I ported this module to D6.
I made it with the help of the Coder module against the latest DRUPAL-5 CVS code.
No new functionality. Only upgraded to D6 with the help of mimemail D6 alpha patched version at http://drupal.org/node/195466#comment-882769
It works at least on my site.
Hope this helps others too.

The patch above doesn't seems to work on Drupal 6.6.. even tried using Deadwood module but with no suck luck.
Also - I am looking for a way to assign user Automatically to autoresponder list upon registration.

I had tried the following code, serval problems with it:
1. when going to admin --> autoresponder, I get a white screen. only when going to admin --> by modules --> autoresponder settings I can actually see something.
2. non-english charecters appears in gibrish, can't understand a word.
3. when creating new set/message, it doesn't really create those messages..
4. feature request - it would be AWESOME if admin could automaticly assign a set to each new registred user!
I'll be happy to test more patches and let everyone knows about bug/improvments idea that I found.

Finally, after a few months of using autoresponder on drupal 5, I decided that SOMEONE should port it to Drupal 6, so, I decided to donate some $ and asked for a great coder (Roberto Gerola) to finally port it to drupal 6, and on the way - add some really cool features!!
So, this version is:
I think this module should be implented and release to the community, since this is a MAJOR improvment to the current module.
Please, post any comments / bug report on the current version.
Roberto - thank you.

Thanks a lot for your contribution, i reviewing the code now! What is the version of mimemail module you attached? Is it modified? Or it is development snapshot of 6.x-1.x-dev branch?
If everything will be alright i'll release Autoresponder Drupal 6 version in the next couple of days.

Hi, the mimemail module hasn't been modified. It is the dev version.

Thanks for doing the work to update this module for D6. My heart sank when I saw the project page without any mention of D6; glad I dug in and found this thread.
Anyway, testing the module now. All good so far. One minor minor issue - when viewing the messages in a set, they're listed alphabetically by title rather than by Day #. Seems to me that Day # would be the best default sort order.
I'll post more notes as I test the module (if necessary).

The new module is continuing to do well in testing.
A couple of things I've come across:
- Status (i.e. when last message was sent) is showing January 1, 1970 rather than the actual date when the last message was sent.
- I edited the Footer in the General Settings, then signed up as a new subscriber but I still got the old footer.
- If you were adding additional features, having a different footer for each set (or at least allowing a set to override the standard footer) would be great.
Thanks
David

Um could someone give me a hand getting that file installed. I'm not sure how to make it into a module.
