OG homepage shows all nodes on site

OG Subgroups, OG Access, OG Subscriptions, and OG Calendar are installed, along with Views. Drupal 5.7, PHP 5.2, MySQL 5.0.

I simply cannot get the group home pages to show up correctly. The default view (og_ghp_ron) displays all nodes on the site. If I override it or create a new view, I almost always get no nodes as the result. I've tried dynamically filtering by group using the Argument code but it's not working, and there are no default arguments for OG (the one on the default view that I assume is supposed to filter by group looks like it's broken - there's no title or description or anything). I've seen some mentions of OG Views but I certainly don't have anything like that... although there are some built-in filters for OG.

Did something not get committed in this latest release? I just upgraded today from 7.2, although it's possible that I had this issue before and didn't notice. I've tried deleting and re-uploading the og folder but it didn't work.
