Bio's Page

I'm interested in adding "Bio" pages to our group's site where each member can post their personal bio and a photo. Has anyone seen this done in Drupal before or does anyone know of a module that might help us accomplish this?

Thanks,
Roger

I am also interested in this.....I have seen several posts along this line but no body seems to have implemented it.

I realise that profiles can be customised to provide some of this information but I would like to allow certain levels of membership to have a bio page with configurable fields that they can maintain. It would also be good to apply taxonomies to display the bio’s by region for example.

Profiles

I don't see why you can't meet rogerroger's needs with the current registration/profile tools, or with members.module if you prefer its output. Just activate profile.module and add fields in admin/settings/profile.

Restricting the profile authorship permissions by role may be the hard part; user.module doesn't seem to support that level of access control. If you're registered you can maintain all parts of your own account record.

I have done just that for

I have done just that for one of my sites and while I'm still relatively new to this type of customisation I was able to get things going in the right direction with a little assistance from http://drupal.org/node/26478 & http://drupal.org/node/14466.

Where this falls down a little is that I would like to have the bio page for an organisation and the user be linked to the bio page to allow editing. As things currently stand the username needs to be that of the organisation.

I would also like the fields from the bio page to show in search results so that site users can search by region or services.
