Using filtered author name

Hi,

Is there a way to use filtered author name instead of plain one for directories, like it is done in pathauto? For instance, I'm called "Julien PHAM". With the way IMCE works, my directory will be "Julien PHAM", and so the link will point to "Julien%20PHAM" what I do not like. I would prefer lower case directories, with other separator than space, for instance "julien-pham" instead as a directory.

Any way to do that? if not it could be a good addition.
