I've ported the Simple Paypal and Donation modules to Drupal 6 and added a handful of features that make the modules easier to configure. I'll submit patches to the issue queues for both modules, but I was first hoping to get some help testing the initial cuts.
In addition to Drupal 6 compatibility, this version of the Donation module provides the administrator with the opportunity to customize nearly all of the text strings associated with the Donate page. This should eliminate the need to edit the module code in order to customize things for your site.
Anyone game to try this out (along with the updated Simple Paypal module that I posted to that module's issue queue) and give me some feedback?

roopletheme commentedCleaned up some issues found by the Coder module. This is a patch against the 5.x HEAD.

flickerfly commentedI don't know much about diff/patch and what to do with the rej files. I've attached them for someone who does.

green monkey commentedwould be happy to help test. But not to good at patching.
Can I download a version that is patched with the above?

rvan1 commentedI have Donation 6.x running OK with Simple PayPal Framework on Drupal 6.9, but haven't applied patches.
I didn't see anywhere where it says to set the paypal email address, and other content, under 'Admin > Site Configuration > Donations', or to navigate to '/donate' to get to the submit form, or what 'Admin > Site Building > Donations' List is for, so it took a little time to put things together.

mgiffordOk, I think I've got this and simple_paypal upgraded.
It's been useful and now that Drupal.org's gone this way, it's time for the Drupal Association to come along too.
