strange function.array-merge error in convey cron

I'm not sure it affects anything, but every time the convey cron process runs, I get the following error:
array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #3 is not an array in /mnt/foo/bar/web/content/sites/all/modules/convey/convey.module on line 444.

this issue has also not gone away. I get somewhere between 10 and 30 of these each time cron runs.
