I'm trying to set up a default flickr user id and get:

* Flickr error 1: User not found
* inclusionpress@yahoo.com is not a Flickr user id and it does not appear to be a valid user name.

inclusionpress is a valid flickr id associated with inclusionpress (see attached image). I've tried it and the yahoo account I use to sign in to it, and neither work. I also used this account to create my flickr API key.

Any suggestions?

I should mention that I can use the user account in the form inclusionpress@yahoo.ca as their personal flickr user account, and it works with flickr user page photosets. But it doesn't work as the default site one, nor is it accepted as a parameter for flickr random photos, returning:
Flickr error 3: Parameterless searches have been disabled. Please use flickr.photos.getRecent instead.

even though it saves the value.

I ran into this problem too, until I realized that it references your Flickr screen name. This is the name that you see in Flickr when it says "Signed in as _____ " at the top of the screen.

I fixed this error in a simple but and weird way...

I put in the address that I thought would work as the "Default Flickr User Id" (inclusionpress@yahoo.ca, from Joe Murray's post above-- I'm working on the same site), but got this error:

  • Flickr error 1: User not found
  • inclusionpress@yahoo.ca is not a Flickr user id and it does not appear to be a valid user name.

So I blanked it out of the Default Flickr User Id field, resubmitted the form, and -- voila! -- it magically added a user ID for me which I didn't type in-- of the form "12345678@N06", and it reported:

  • The Flickr username has been replaced with the corresponding user id 12345678@N06.

I don't get how this worked, but it has made the error messages go away.

Guys,

i`ve tryied with user id and user views name, nothing works (drupal 6 and tested on dev and prod version)!

So i realized that my user view name was white blankspances and dots. So i used the view name with the same value as user id.

Then when i typed userid the Flyckr Api found a user name as 4*******@N05.

But it keep showing :
* Flickr error 1: Photoset not found
* Flickr error 1: Photo not found
* Flickr error 1: User not found

Shows the image from photoset but showing these erros for admin.
