Hi all,

please find attached a patched archive of jquery_update. It has jquery.js 1.2.6 with some additional patches included. You will find them descriptive on jquery traq. Even they (on jquery) say "it should have been fixed with 1.2.5+" it isn't for me.

The patch also includes a new/old function dequeue for jquery 1.x compatibility and xpath plugin of jquery to compat.js. Please take a look on some previous issues I have commented:

I had some strange experiences with hierarchical_select and things like that, which have solved with my patches. Maybe they are usefull for you too. To show diff, this tgz will shown realease as "JQuery 1.2.6-SIGMA". The source AND packed jquery.js is attached. I have packed this using http://dean.edwards.name/packer/ with enabling "Base62 encode and Shrink Variables" options.

hm my attachment is still missing, that must be lost if you choose "preview" and then save the issue ?!

After made some tests, I have found also an existing problem with IE+. This has fixed it, but is not include in my patch for now. Please take a look:

Tom, is this another duplicate of #156221: Upgrade to JQuery 1.2.6 ? All of the referenced issues have been marked as duplicate of the upgrade issue, since those fixes were already covered in the upgrade.
