Hello,
I would be very happy if I could change the message the Simplenews block in the sidebar shows: "Stay informed on our latest news!" Just a field in the settings would be splendid.

Also, I've got a big blank hole after the XML icon in the block. I've tried to fix it with CSS but it seems something is hidden there. It looks kind of unsightly. Would be nice if you could de-hole it.

At the moment, I'm very busy implementing the changes discussed in this issue, and the good news is that both your requests will be addressed in this new version. As a matter of fact, I already programmed these changes, so just a few more days of patience (I hope) before it will be finished.
