I have followed the instructions very carefully but can not see how to manage this module, how do I select which folder of photo's to display?

Same here. I have a 'Brilliant Gallery' showing up in the settings, but there's only the "Path to the main gallery folder" and other basic settings. There is no 'manage' tab like you say in your installation instructions at /admin/settings/brilliant_gallery/manage.

I have Lightbox2 installed.

First I thought there might be two reasons i my setup:
1) a files folder outside the Drupal installation, i.e. in ../files
2) private file uploads directory.

But I tried with normal sites/all/files directory with public method, still no luck.
