Hi,

First very nice module, I couldn't test because I'm on D6, but it seems to be a good alternative to the already excellent mapping kit module, but heavy mapping kit module ;)

Is there a plan to port your module to drupal 6 ? If yes, do you have an estimation about when it can be done ?

Because I'm not into Drupal 6 at the moment, porting to D6 is unforeseeable. Changes for porting are formost dependant on changes from CCK5 to CCK6.Because of dependancy to gmap-module, that should also be ported to D6 (partial port available at: http://drupal.org/node/234344).

I will start porting to D6 when I first need it in a Drupal6 project. But when this will be, I don't know.

A port to D6 will probably go with an implementation to geo.module. I'd have to have a closer look on that within the next month.

A port to D6 isn't neede anymore. With GMap providing its own CCK Field in Drupal6, there is allready an implemented Field for providing the features, CCK GMap Address does in general.

If you have any suggestions to improve GMap's field, let me know, but we should not work on 2 modules dealing the same issue.

mandarmbhagwat78 converted the module to D6 in #434282: Drupal6 version of cck_gmapaddress module : http://drupal.org/files/issues/cck_gmapaddress.tar__1.gz

But! This will not become an official D6 release for CCK GmapAddress, due to existing cck modules for gmap (like location_cck, GMap Field,...). I propose to invest more work on the other modules in D6, than in this.
