I tried following the instructions at http://www.vacilando.eu/bg. In Drupal 6.3, I cannot create the albums folder in /sites/default/files. There seems to be a permissions issue. I have tried changing permissions to this folder but cannot get it to work.
I think this is my issue. When I create a node and insert the BG tag, it just comes up empty. There is nothing there.
I am looking for clarification. Been trying many different settings but so far no progress. Really appreciate some guidance/help.
Thanks,
Andy

taropatch commentedI think that the permissions problem on /sites/default/files has to do with this: http://drupal.org/node/218210
Album folders have to go in this files folder, correct? Not sure if others are running into this but I am not sure how to proceed.

taropatch commentedOk, I got it working.
First, while I could not create a new folder in or delete /sites/default/files (due to unchangeable permissions), I could rename it. So I changed it to /sites/default/files_old and created a new "files" folder.
Now, I could create an albums folder and put my images in there. In admin/settings/brilliant_gallery I left "Path to main gallery folder" blank. In the node where I wanted the images to appear, I used the tag [bg|albums].

taropatch commentedI actually found that it worked better if setting admin/settings/brilliant_gallery, "Path to main gallery folder", to albums. Then create another folder for your images.
Then use the tag [bg|newfolder].
