I have upgraded to the latest 5.x-3.x-dev version (and JQuery Update 5.x-2.0, JQuery 1.2.6 and Content Taxonomy version 5.x-1.x-dev 2008-07-07)
Before installing the latest version I uninstalled the previous version and removed the hs_ variables to clean the previous install.

I now have the following issue when using HS with Content Taxonomy.

The taxonomy values are not saved when I edit a field with HS (they are saved when using the regular select widget of CT)

I have tried various configuration test:

  • save as tag, save both
  • save term lineage, save deepest only

I always force the selection of the deepest term, disable node count, level label, dropbox, editability.

When using the "both" option, the CCK field values are properly saved, but not the taxonomy values. There are no error messages displayed, there is no issue displayed in admin/status/logs.

I also have a minor display issue: when changing the selected value from a branch with 2 levels to a branch with 1 level, the second level is not hidden after the selection.

same behaviour for me, I have done the exact same thing and taxonomy values are never saved.

Wim, I have also tried to get this to work with plain vanilla installations of d57 and even d59. I tried hs versions 5.3.dev and also 5.3.rc1. tags are never saved.

Same issue with me. HS do not save to Content taxonomy fields, no matter what you do.

I resolved the issue. In my case I use multiple select. I set "Save options" to "Both" (In previous versions of HS - 'save as tag'). It's working no problem.

I have same problem with RC1, but instead only 1st term in vocabulary get saved when HS is used for taxonomy ( I guess this is because "required" is set for that vocabulary so saving empty list of terms can't happen ).
This happens when saving as tag / tags+cck
