We are moving our site from a temp testing server(bluehost) to godaddy. We have followed guidelines per http://drupal.org/node/46389 as well as two days worth of searching the forums. We have tried also creating a clean install of drupal and then transferring the database and ftping the files. Something does not add up. Both ways, we have gotten this error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in /home/content/l/c/p/lcptech/html/lcp/encinitasrotary.com/modules/painter/imaging.module on line 256

If anyone can offer some assistance in this transfer, we would be forever grateful! The site is for Encinitas Rotary Club. http://www.encinitasrotary.com the temp site is at http://encinitasrotary.ochaby.com

This is very urgent because the live Rotary site is only showing this error. Yikes!!! %-P

A million thanks to all who can help!

What exact steps do you perform before you receive this error?

Thank you for your response...

1. Turned off clean urls
2. downloaded existing site using ftp client
3. exported mysql database using phpmyadmin from bluehost.com
4 uploaded files using ftp
5 imported database to new godaddy sql database using phpmyadmin (the file imports without any errors)
6 changed settings.php to reflect new hosting environment
7 go to http://www.encinitasrotary.com & it comes up w/ parse error

(we currently have a redirect page to take visitors to the working site that we are trying to transfer)

As a strange side note, if we remove the htaccess file, we get a bluehost error page even though it's installed on godaddy.

We have tried every combo of importing and exporting the database files and we always get the same parse error. except when we choose the update option on the export but when we try and import that file, it comes up with a fatal error no matter where we split the file. (on update it creates a file too large for us to import)

Thank you again!

UPDATE: We went over the numbers on phpMyAdmin Space Usage Data export is larger on bluehost and the Data Export on godaddy is smaller hmmmmm............

I apologize for being unable to fix this problem. Since it's about 6 months old, though, I'm going to close this.
