I've installed IMCE with BUEditor, and for some reason the tabs at the top of the page (after clicking the browse button) does not show as per the demo. So I can browse within the file directory, but cannot upload, generate thumbnail or send to BUEditor.

What theme are you using? I've found that the tabs get moved around depending on the active theme because those tabs include the styles used for secondary links. If you have your secondary links set to display:none or something in your CSS, that could be the issue.

I have the same problem. Setting theme to garland displays the tab. So I think you're right and the problem is the theme template. I'm currently using A3 Atlantis and I'll try to alert the creator of this theme.

I found out that if you have the simplemenu module installed with "Detect pop-up windows" disabled, this caused the links to disappear.
