Clean way for localization/translation

Issue Summary

Hi,

I'm looking for a clean way to localize respectively translate the UI of the CCK Fullname field (except for ango-american countries, there's no such animal as "Legal Name" ;). In the display and configuration options for this CCK field, there seems to be no such possibility.

What is the right/clean/safe way to make "Legal Name" to "Bürgerlicher Name" or soemthing like this? Do I have to fiddle around with theming, or should I use Drupal's translation interface? The best option surely would be if I could rename the CCK Fullname fields subfields directly in the modules configuration dialogue, as it is possible with most other CCK fields (that's why I'm issueing as a feature request).
