Node Media galleries

Hi all,
I'm using Node Media module and after installation I'm able to associate media (I've tested it with images) to the nodes created with Project module. Now, I'd like to have media associated not with the project page, but with the project release page, in order to display media related to each release. I didn't find anything about that in the Node Media configuration, anyone knows if this is possible?
Also, I'd like to have the Random Image Block picking up images and even other media from Node Media instead of Image nodes. Again, is this possible?

NOTE: new features are going to implemented in Node Media 2.0 which is going to be released for Drupal 7 (more info)
