Because i have a very huge amount of pictures, i want that only the medium pictures are shown, the originals should not be saved. Is there a possibility to add this feature?

Good proposal.
In fact, you do not want to save the original.
Then, increased restrictions on the size of the original features, seems to be a good solution.

Somewhat similar, so not creating a new issue:

I often create images sized for gallery etc (780-800 pixels max length), so here, would be happy to use originals, and not the medium sized images [creation of which just adding to storage used on server].

- so, perhaps could add to options, so some can create and use medium sized images, not keep originals; some can use originals without creating medium sized images.
