Site pages does not reload when activating Mailhandler

Drupal 5.3. Theme Bluebreeze
Mailhandler works, but when activated site is slow and cron cannot execute. Processing emails manually works. When saving changes to nodes or trying to run cron manually page goes blank. When trying to reload page nothing happends. When disabling mailhandler module, site works fine.
