I tried checkout, but I got on first update of a node a redirection loop.

I use also i18n and active_translation.

Any idea about he issue ?

Please check http://drupal.org/node/294861 to see if it happens because of language prefixes.

I'm pretty sure this is language prefix related. Experienced the same issue on a new multilingual site. Will try the patch asap.
