I have updated the terminology a bit:
list style > view
threaded > tree
This was done in an attempt to clarify the meaning of those words in a better way. I would really much like to know what you think of this change. For the record: none of this has got anything to do with Views.

I have also made a greater distinction between lists and indices in the code. Lists are now solely HTML lists generated by the template files, indices are the good ol' Vocabulary Indices, e.g. the entire page/object containing information about its vocabulary and the aforementioned HTML list with its terms.
