The error message I get says "Parent field is required."

When I disable HS, I can do the operation no problem.

Same trouble in Rc3.
and in last dev version (30/08/2008)
it's appear as soon as "Hierarchical Select Taxonomy" module is enabled

It happens to me when I am on the creating or editing a Forum or Forum Container pages. It only occurs when the Parent: field is set to <root>

Good day,

I also receive this error message when I click on "submit". See attached screen picture.

This error prevents me from creating a new forum or forum container.

Thanks tkamen (and georgefurnell), I know where to look now. Making the parent selection optional will fix the problem.

Wim,

In the mean time, is there something that I can do to be able to add a forum container to my site?

Kind regards
George

If you enjoy using Hierarchical Select, but you need to add a forum container and keep getting the error message, you can simply disable the HS module, add the container and then re-enable HS.
