The text reads:

"title": Required. The untranslated title of the menu item.

but one of the examples:

  $items['blog/feed'] = array(
    'title' => t('RSS feed'), // <------------- no t()??
    'page callback' => 'blog_feed',
    'access arguments' => array('access content'),
    'type' => MENU_CALLBACK,
  );

Shouldn't the t() be removed?
