Hi.

This is my first drupal project.

I've worked with a variety of CMSs over the years and have always been bugged by the WYSIWYG editors they use (I come from a front end development background and therefore like my HTML/CSS to be pure and elegant :)).

As soon as I read the blurb on WYMeditor I thought this sounds like the business! And indeed it looks promising and I like the way ot works on the whole. But I'm really struggling to use images with it. Out of the box there is the basic insert image icon. But the options you are given (well single option - URL) to add an image seem to be a real weak point? Clients aren't going to have their images sitting elsewhere on the web as a rule and even on the off chance that they did it just seems too clunky to try and have them copy and paste a url etc.

I've done some searching but haven't come across any solutions mentioned.
Is there a way of at least either being able to (a) upload an image from your local machine, or (b) integrate the insert image functionality with one of the drupal image handling modules?

I really really want to use this editor for this project and future projects but if that is as good as the image insertion gets then I just can't and I'll have to resort to one of the more traditional WYSIWYG editors :(

Thanks for any pointers, advice etc.
It looks like a very promising editor and I hope this is posted in the right area!

p.s.

whilst looking for solutions I found that on this page:
http://drupal.org/project/imce

it says "Since its first release, IMCE has been used as a file browser in many popular rich text editors such as FCKEditor, TinyMCE, WYMEditor, Whizzywig etc." yet I can find no more references to wymeditor when digging deeper into the IMCE pages. Their demo page shows several WYSIWYG editors but no WYMeditor.

I have tried enabling both IMCE and WYMeditor but still only get the really basic WYMeditor file upload option of manually entering a URL.

Have abandoned WYMEditor now so feel free to close this unless it might be useful to someone else in future
