There's already a drupal module for the jQuery cookie plugin -- http://drupal.org/project/jquery_cookie -- so I won't add it here, unless the maintainer of jquery_cookie could be convinced to merge it into jquery_plugin, which I'd be happy to do.
The jQuery cookie module hasn't been touched since last February. While I normally advocate avoiding duplication, it seems like it makes sense to add it here. Because of http://drupal.org/node/291084#comment-986599 this module might be needed for collapsable containers in AF so I'd like to have a simpler solution to point users to, if possible.
No, because I'm suggesting that it's a redundant module that would be better served being incorporated into yours regardless. If you don't agree, that is, of course, your decision, but it seems silly to me to have a module for handing plugins except for that one out there by itself.
There were already a lot of modules for jQuery plugins predating this module. I started this module for miscellaneous plugins that didn't already have their own module, not to replace all the existing modules -- unless the author wanted to merge it here.
Ok, as I said, it's your decision. I'm only getting involved to avoid the nightmare of telling my users they need to install your module and then go into this other module and copy some of the code there into your module. Just so they can make collapsable forum containers work. I guess I'll keep asking around to see if anyone has a better way of handling this.
Well I would say it's your decision :) You can inquire if the existing solution is abandoned. If so then I would be happy to adopt it here. That's why this issue is marked "needs more info".
I just found this issue, #298962: Merge with jQuery plugins, it's gone over 3 weeks without a response. Perhaps this is long enough for the module to be considered more-or-less abandoned?
Thanks, mfb. Got someone new helping out with the collapsable forum containers who figured out how to do it without this last night. Doh! But I still think it's a good idea to have it in one module. :)

mfbDid you contact the author and verify that the module won't be released for Drupal 6 (or, not get any response after waiting some time)?

michelleWell, I sent an email to the maintainer. Doesn't help me any as I need this settled in the next couple of days but maybe it will help someone else.
