Display metadata for the current directory at the top of the page

Problem: Only the first character of the text is displayed.
Solution: I removed [0] from the code '#value' => '<p>' . $file_metadata['.'][0] . '</p>', in line 401.

(Unfortunately, I cannot help with a diff file.)
