With support for Firefox, IE and now also Safari (http://groups.google.com/group/gears-users/browse_thread/thread/36537d4f...), it's possible to use Google Gears in a cross-browser manner now. Let's do it :)

We have published an initial version that integrates google gears with Drupal http://drupal.org/project/gears. works for node and views, but it might be interesting to add new features.

Sorry for not having responded quickli. In relation to the google gears, with a friend we will make the request as a draft code of google summer. The intention is to rewrite the module as an API, And Gears adding functionality in the API.
