Upgrading from 4.7 to 5.10, Acidfree doesn't reconize data?

I've recently upgraded my drupal site from 4.7 to 5.10. I followed the upgrading instructions very carefully and when I upgrade and run update.php, it doesn't seem to upgrade the old acidfree albums/data to the new formats.
Update.php says it made the database changes but it's quick and I get the impression from the upgrade file that it should take some time to migrate the data.
I get no errors.
When it's done, the default acidfree album is empty and I can't find any of the acidfree pictures or albums on the site.
Any help on how to upgrade to D5 will be greatly appreciated. As it is all the pictures on the site from acidfree are not showing.

Would it help if I copy the files from the old filestore to the new one manually? From what I can tell, this step is not happening even with filemanager installed.

After several more tries, I haven't been able to get Acidfree to update. If anyone has any advise on what may be wrong or how to complete the upgrade by hand, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi! I have identical problem. I am upgraded drupal 4.7 to drupal 5.15.
Acidfree is recognize my albums name. Some albums is empty and some albums have empty borders of pictures. When i click on empty borders, i have message "Page not found".
Please help.

Some comments regarding this.
Acidfree 4.7 required filemanager to create and force private directory. deactivate acidfree and instal filemanager.
You will need to copy old private directory over the new one if you left the private directory in place during upgrade. That private directory has the filemanager file you need.
Check that Taxonomy hasn't created a category for the renamed acidfree from url alias. If so delete the url alias and the category so you only have acidfree albums category.
Activate acidfree . You'll probably get ' cant resize because original image cant be found 'or something like that.
Important-
You have to go to settings for 'image' and set the original sizes and save .
hope this gets you going. I had same issues in upgrade from 4.7 to 5 and these steps got me going.
