If I include an underscore in the machine-name (e.g. user_profile) of the content type the underscore is replaced with a hyphen in the URL (user-profile), but the underscore is not replaced in the link on the User Account page to "create new user profile", so clicking on the link instead brings you to the main Create Content page instead of the Node/Add page for the content profile.

Nope, I am changing this back to duplicate and am updating the other threads as well, as it is NOT fixed. The posting user simply worked around the problem by not using an underscore. Below are the three submitted issues for this.
