If I use the image assist module when creating new content, the images never display. The reuslt vaires depending on my selection during the linking process.

For "Insert Mode" if I choose "filter tag" I get:

[img_assist|nid=126|title=This is a picture|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=80|height=100] displayed in the final content.

If I choose HTML Code I get:

This is a picture displayed in the final content.

I never actually get the picture.

These pictures have been previously uploaded into the Gallaries and are viewable through that method.

Did you follow all installation steps that are mentioned in the README.txt? (also linked from the project page)
