Issue Summary
Just upraded to latest version, because I was having issues with permissions. Even user1 was getting "access denied" for the pictures/manage pages. I upgraded, and the access issue is gone, but thumbnails for existing galleries are gone, and for new galleries, they are not created.

Do you have correct file permissions on the files folder?

There was no answers to Silvio and this is very old. I'm closing. Also 5.x is not supported anymore.
