Hello everyone....
I am having a lot of trouble trying to install RSS to my website.
Although everyone says its easy, its 123... yet this is not happening. I enabled the Simple feed module, Feed API module and SimplePie parser, downloaded views, and I ended up with a hugh database error so I disabled the modules.
Some of the links that I researched were linking to 3rd party websites. I thought we should be able to use Drupal RSS feeds.
All I want is to show a small RSS icon at the bottom of the page that works!!!
Thanking you in advance for your support.

P.S, I am using the fancy theme.

Two different things?

I think you are talking about two different things.

Drupal will generate RSS feeds of your content automatically - one for everything promoted to front and one for each taxonomy term. You dont need any additional modules at all.

Most themes seem to place an RSS icon at the bottom of the homepage and category (taxonomy) pages. If not you can enable the Syndication block.

If you want a simple way to Aggregate feeds (to display content from other sites on your site) you can use the built in Aggregator module, which is quite strait forward to set up.

BTW - please don't use All CAPS, and accurate and descriptive title is much better.

Thanks, but now I am getting another error

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I just tried it, you are right, once enabled in blocks, it does show. however, when I click on it, I get the following error:

Feed code error:
Invalid at the top level of the document.
Line: 1 Character: 1

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

Any advice?

I also appologize for the caps, didnt mean anything bad, I guess I was so troubled with the pb I kept the caps on when I typed rss.

Thanking you once again for your support.
