Installing jquery update breaks tabs

Description

Everything has been installed as explained and settings set for the content type, but the field group tabs are not showing in the edit form. The fields within the field group are also not showing.

When I look at the source code it appears to be there, but yet nothing is appearing. I am viewing it in FireFox 3.

Is there a particular reason why it may not be showing?

Are you using jquery update? If so, it may be a bug caused by that module.

Yes I am using jquery update. It is required by another module. Is there a work around at this time?

This module will be very useful for many reasons I'm sure, but I can confirm that it conflicts with the jquery update module, which is another important one. It will be really great to see these 2 modules cooperate and live in peace with each other.

I am having the same problem. The excellent Hierarchical Select module: http://drupal.org/project/hierarchical_select
depends on Jquery update 2 - which breaks CCK Fieldgroup Tabs.

nedjo: I thought Tabs (in JS Tools) has been made compatible with jQuery 1.2, which is all what has been changed in jQuery Update 2?

Apparently not. In fact, it looks like a number of the JSTools are not compatible. Collapsiblock has stopped working as well.

Title:Edit Tabs are not Showing» Installing jquery update breaks tabs

I did some updating for a previous version of jquery update, but not for the newer one.

I'd welcome patches. Personally I'm not likely to write them. I don't consider this a bug. Hack Drupal core and accept the consequences. But, yes, I'd like to see compatibility cleanly done.

A patch would be great because I would really like to use this module but for the time being its just sitting there collecting dust.

I had the same problem. Just install de 5.x dev version of jstools and everything goes ok.

You can read it here.
