Can't see this documented or mentioned in the release notes.

We currently have op_video 2.6 on our site and it's working fine, but have just uploaded some videos which are in a wider aspect ratio than our normal 4x3 format.

I noticed that 2.6 does not allow us to customise the dimensions per-video, and wondered if 3.9 does - if so we could upgrade.

I trialled an upgrade (on a copy of the site) but when completed it didn't function as expected. So we can't upgrade the site to 2.6 until I look into that further.

In the meantime, I figured it makes sense to ask here: should I expect that 3.9 will give me the facility to set the dimensions of each video?

Is this feature available but hidden in 2.x series?

Is there a current issue for this feature? Surely not everyone has identically sized videos thru their whole site :)

Thanks!

typically you might want per node type or per context dimension configurability, but there is no point in having it per video

Correcting status to WONTFIX, because this issue has not been fixed.

UPDATE - Oh - I see, as a support request I guess it's fixed, you replied and said "it don't do that". :)

FWIW, I do believe there is a use case (aka a point) for this.

Having dimensions only configurable per node type means that you would need to create a separate node type to handle a single video which is (eg) widescreen, and then another node type for another video which was some other set of proportions. I don't see why the dimensions, which relate to the video specifically, need to be fixed based on some external item which doesn't relate to dimensions (node type or site).

However, I do appreciate that this is how it works currently, and that this works fine for plenty of people. I'm happy to let this ticket sit, and engage in improving the module to have this functionality, if I find the need / opportunity in future.

Thanks for all your good work, jbrown.

What we really need to have is inline videos.

If a video was placed freeform in the body then it would make sense to have configurable dimensions.
