I have a custom import module bringing in lots of nodes, some of which have lots of associated image files we'd like to show in an attached Gallerix gallery. Would there be any way to do that in code? I'm sure it wouldn't be simple, but some pointers (or a blanket "no it can't be done without going through the user interface") would be helpful. It would be easy to create the "parent" Gallerix node, it's the getting images into their proper tables, etc., that seems hopelessly confusing.

Unfortunately this is not a trivial task and would require a lot of fine tuning to get to work, so unless you have tons and tons of galleries, I suggest you put the files for each gallery in a clearly labeled zip, upload them to gallerix/repository, and go from there.
