Sorry,

We are still actively developing the module for drupal 6.
We have no time to backport it to drupal 5.

To give you all an idea about the time and effort needed to develop a module like the dynamic display block module here a summary:

Making the functionality we have now (RC2) for the dynamic display block module for Drupal 6 including documentation took us about 1 month of work.

If you calculate 30 days x 8 hours = 240 hours work. + documentation 7 days x 8 hours = 56 hours.

This gives a total of 306 hours of work.

Then add bug fixing and support: times x hours

The functionality for the next version of the dynamic display block module will cost one to two month of work if not more. I expect between 300 and 400 hours of work.

Backporting to Drupal 5 with the functionality of the next version would cost about 100 to 200 hours is my expectation. Then also documentation and bug fixing/support.

I hope with this summary we gave a little bit more insight how much time and effort it takes to make a module like this.

We can not accept offers of $100 or $200 dollar to backport the module to drupal 5.

I don't know if the list is complete, but I think you can find one which suits you.
