This thread is for feedback and in support of my Drupal 6.x Starter Theme Comparison information sheet.
If you can see anything that needs to be added, modified or simply would like feedback regarding the information or a particular starter theme please post it here.
After reviewing all 12 themes in depth (far more so than the current information sheet depicts) it is my opinion that all have their place and particular application. I believe its a worthwhile exercise becoming familiar with them before suggesting a starter theme to a Drupal newbie, or at least pointing them to one of the following resources:

Comments
Thanks!
A great idea; something that's been needed for a while. At first read, it seems to be very well done, so thanks!
nice work + extending your doc with google.docs or EditGrid
Nice work jmburns, I just thought that you can also export your html table a spreadsheet and import google doc than share with public' that way people can pinch in, extend, update as themes update and new themes built
- that way your starter document can extent collaboratively -less work for you in future too ;)
http://www.google.com/google-d-s/tour2.html
once your document on google docs as a spreadsheet and 'publicly shared' it can be embed it to any site (your site -and everyone else including drupal.org/docs
-google.docs provides the embedding services
EditGrid is also an alternative to do the same
http://www.editgrid.com/
Good idea, I'll look into
Good idea, I'll look into it, would make the doc more portable as well.

+ Creating All Drupal Themes Specs Comparison table with webform
That's right, it will make your doc. more portable, re-convertable to PDF, Excel, OpenOffice any point of an update, moreover updates can be viewable 'live' data can be turn to various widgets, mashed up various ways comparison charts etc.
Moreover - this option is make easier to create/fill a spreadsheet for contributors
You can build a form on google.docs (your google.docs app -NEW> create form menu below create NEW spreadsheet)...
build your forms on your table.
choices like ones on your table column descriptions i.e
- name of the theme
- Core features -- textfiled
- Tabeless CSS layout [Yes] [No]
- Template is for version --multiple choices [4.7] [5.6] [6.4] etc
- phptemplate based etc.
- Subtemplate of --multiple choices [Zen Theme] [Genesis Theme]
- Total region number --multiple choices [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [n]
and more forms for the questions -that is on your work's 1st column already..
- Make the the form public
- Publish
-invite people you choose and /or let us the link of your form doc or/and embed your form into your site or if possible to drupal.org
when people you, me, theme devs or whoever fill the form and submit the form built that Q/A 'survey' results turn to Spreadsheet magic :)
Is there a comparison for Drupal 5?
This comparison is very helpful, I'm new to Drupal and trying to setup a theme for Drupal 5. Do these comparisons also apply to Drupal 5?

Most have a D5 version
Most of them have Drupal 5 versions (in fact only Genesis does not afaikt). Much of what has been written about each project will apply, although it worth checking out each one for yourself.

Well, that is the problem
I'm not really qualified to check for myself. I do appreciate the response though.

Sky
I just ran across the Sky theme http://drupal.org/project/sky. It would be cool if you find the time to give it an equally thorough review, if you feel it belongs in the "starter theme" category. Thank you for the this grid; it's very useful to me!
It has a "start from scratch
It has a "start from scratch mode" so that may be worth investigating as a starter theme.

Tendu ver. 2.x
It is still in development, but version 2.x of Tendu adds sub-themes support and much more functionality compared to version 1.x
It should be noted, Tendu is dubbed a "Starter theme", but I see it as a "Starter theme for professionals" - It is designed to be a clean, cross-browser, RTL ready for theme developers and less for the novice random user.
And about it's browser compatibility, Claus H. Karstensen did an initial test of version 2, quoting:
Fusion starter theme
Another one that could be added is Fusion.
First post eh... probably do
First post eh... probably do a review of fusion in the near future, it has some nice features but I tend to think there are a few sacrificial lambs that got slaughtered along the way...

Broken links
Are you going to refresh the url for this: Drupal 6.x Starter Theme Comparison ? Or have you dropped the page.
I am comparing starter themes, so browsing through lots of pages. There are lots of links to your site that are broken at present, some on Dupral, some in Drupal groups, and some on your site. For example: http://adaptivethemes.com/starter-themes/?theme=genesis_ULTRALITE Anything /starter-themes/ fails as far as I can tell.

Hey there fellow Kiwi! Yeah,
Hey there fellow Kiwi!
Yeah, I should really fix this up, sorry, time is my enemy always - I still have the comparisons but they are quite out of date now.
I am writing some new docs for the design4drupal site, I should have these finished sometime soonish.
What are you looking for in a starter theme - this would be interesting to me at the moment because I am trying to figure out what it is that people actually want (rather than just what I like).

There is an updated comparison table in the works
Since the original version is down, I was checking for a new/different version and ran into stephthegeek on #drupal-support. She's involved in setting up a new version of the table here: http://www.drupalstarterthemes.com/
If anyone wants to help out, shoot a note over at: http://www.drupalstarterthemes.com/contact
