i installed the dev release on a fresh-drupal installation on my multisite environment. after the installation everything looks god. then i downloaded http://jacobhenke.net/sites/default/files/image_gallery.tar_.bz2, renamed it to image_gallery.tar.bz2 and extracted it. but in the bundles ui this bundle doesn't appear... any hints?

doesn't seem to be a problem with multisites. the image_gallery.bundle file only contains a php start tag... is this correct?

try to extract the files to a folder like durpal_root/sites/all/bundles and see if that fixes your problem or subsitute all for your site directory, but be sure to install the modules from the sample into your modules directory.
