With firefox it's fine, but with ie I just get a blank screen. Is this problem theme related? Has anyone been able to use embedded video field with youtube videos in internet explorer?

I have youtube videos working fine, which means this is probably a conflict with another module. Are you using any flash related modules? If you're using SWFObject I think you need to use version 1.5 instead of 2.x.

I'm not using sfwobject at all. Should I be? Embedded video is working without sfwobject in firefox. Do I need it for IE?

I'm just noting that I have an identical problem with embedded Vimeo, which I have explained here: http://drupal.org/node/330450 . This makes me think that there is a bug/conflict, and it's not just me doing something stupid. I have listed out all the modules I am using in that issue. Could you list out yours - if there is a conflict, it might help somebody cleverer than me identify it.

I swear, it wasn't coming up in IE. Now, it is. And, whatever I did, I am unaware that it modified the display of videos in IE. The only thing I can think of that I did just recently was to run the "Rebuild Permissions" (Admin-> Content Management -> Post Settings) function.

Again, I do NOT have the "Use SWFObject" box checked in Embedded Media settings.

I'm happy this has fixed itself, but I would like to know why.

I have no problem with embedding on my site. I have trouble embedding videos period. I try and paste...and they disappear. I was fine until about a month ago! Any ideas why the embedded video disappears when I paste??? Thanks, Glen gburrough19@gmail.com
