Looking for a developer to help with the following:

When an administrator changes a user's role, this should trigger an automatic email to the user letting them know their role has changed. Should be able to customize the email text and use tokens. I'm open to ideas for how this should be done, but I suppose a module would be best so we can share with the community.

Please contact me with your ideas for how you would accomplish this, a timeline, and flat $$ quote for work. I've spent days trying to find a solution and was unable to find anything that will work, please help! I'm on a fairly urgent timeline so sooner the better.

I did try doing this with workflow-ng, but it didn't work quite right and would require some customization.

I found a great developer to work on this for me, and he created a module to email user on role change, it's done and works great: http://drupal.org/project/role_change_notify

The description says, "Send an email to a user when a new role is added to their account."

Without testing the module myself, I'm curious: does it also send a message when a user has been removed from a role?

ha ha ...only added role(s) will be notified.
