It seems that Adblock with the usual filters is blocking the slideshow. Is there a way around this? I'm trying to show nodes consisting of photos linking to internal content.

Ok,

I worked around Adblock by moving the images from img tags to CSS backgrounds, not blocked anymore. Composing the slides from images and text is actually less hassle this way.
