One group to many users

I am looking for advice on which module(s) will best aid in implementing the following functionality for users and content.

When a user registers from the website, an associated "account" or "group" is created for that user. This user can then add more users to their account. The user that registered has control only over the users associated with that account. Access to content (nodes) and vocabulary are contained to that account meaning only users from that account can edit the content associated with that account. Newly created content should be automatically associated with the user's account.

Ideally, the user who registered can have a more powerful role than other users in the account. Also, each account will have it's own subdomain.

For a later phase in the project, content types need to able to be created and contained to an account as well.

I have looked at the following modules and am preparing to explore them individually:

In the meantime, I would like to pick your brain if you have any experience with these modules and have implemented something similar. So please post a comment if you have any advice on the matter.

I don't expect any of these modules will perfectly implement this scenario. However, I am looking for the module(s) which tackle the biggest portion of it, and expect to have to customize some of the behavior to fit this logic. If you know of any other modules I should take a look at, let me know.

Thanks!
