my views slideshow is configured to single frame, but when the web page loads the slideshow shows all of my nodes (images) and after the set timer delay it begins to show 1 node only.

how do i configure it to show only 1 node when my web page loads?

I'm having the same problem (I think). I have a cck image field with 4 images. I'm configured for single frame. The slideshow starts by showing pics 1 2 3 & 4. Then it shows 2 3 and 4 , then 3 and 4, and then 4 only. Once it's down to showing one image, they continue rotating as I want, one at a time.

This is because you are using multi value field which is currently not supported. Marking as a duplicate of #363215: ThumbnailHover mode does not work for views of a single node's FileField w/ multiple values..
